Booking Terms & Policies
Your journey begins with clear policies and terms.
At Journeys Together, our goal is to make your travel experience smooth from start to finish. Please take a moment to review the following terms that apply when you join one of our group journeys. These policies ensure fairness, clarity, and confidence for everyone traveling with us.
🧾 1. Overview
All bookings with Journeys Together Group Travel are subject to the terms below. By submitting your deposit or payment, you acknowledge and agree to these conditions.
Each specific journey has a scheduled departure date and a minimum participant requirement. If the minimum number of participants for your specific trip is not met by the booking deadline, Journeys Together reserves the right to cancel that trip. In such an event, all payments made to us for that journey will be fully refunded.
💰 2. Pricing & Inclusions
All prices are per person, based on double occupancy (2 people per room). (Single occupant may be charged an additional fee).
Package Includes:
transfers to and from the airport
excursions (one per city, or otherwise noted in the package), and all
hotel accommodations
Package Does NOT include:
meals and/or drinks (except those provided by the hotel and tour operators),
entry fees to attractions
personal expenses
optional or additional tours
travel insurance (highly recommended)
passport and visa fees
Prices are subject to change until final payment is received. Adjustments may occur due to exchange rate fluctuations, airline surcharges, or supplier cost changes beyond our control
💳 3. Payment Schedule
A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
The remaining balance is due 60-90 days before the scheduled departure date of your specific trip.
Payments may be made by credit card, debit card, or bank transfer.
For bookings made within 60 days of departure, 50% of the trip cost becomes non‑refundable at the time of booking, and 100% becomes non‑refundable 30 days before departure.
Failure to make payments by the deadlines specified for your journey may result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of all deposits paid.
Specific payment deadlines for each trip will be listed on your individual trip invoice.
Failure to make payments on time may result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of all deposits paid.
❌ 4. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be received in writing via email. Because our journeys involve non-refundable supplier commitments, the following penalties apply based on the departure date of your selected trip:
More than 90 days before departure: Deposit is non-refundable.
60–89 days before departure: 50% of the total trip cost forfeited.
30–59 days before departure: 75% of the total trip cost forfeited.
Less than 30 days before departure: No refund available.
NOTE: If Journeys Together must cancel the trip due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, all payments made for that specific journey will be fully refunded.
This refund constitutes full settlement, and no additional compensation will be provided.
Some specially priced or late‑announced trips may require a higher non‑refundable deposit (up to 50% of the total trip cost); in those cases, the specific deposit and cancellation terms listed on the trip page or invoice will apply and override the general schedule above.
🔄 5. Name Changes & Transfers
A name change may be permitted up to 60 days before departure, subject to approval by airlines and hotels, as well as any associated fees.
After this period, substitutions or transfers are not allowed.
🛡️ 6. Travel Insurance (Strongly Recommended)
Since travel requirements and risks vary by destination, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for every journey. A comprehensive plan can protect your investment against unforeseen cancellations, medical emergencies abroad, or travel delays.
While Journeys Together is not affiliated with any insurance provider, many of our travelers have had positive experiences with:
Travel Insured International (https://www.travelinsured.com )
Allianz Global Assistance (https://www.allianztravelinsurance.com )
We encourage travelers to review plan details carefully and select coverage that fits their needs and budget.
⚖️ 7. Responsibilities & Liability
Journeys Together acts solely as an intermediary between travelers and independent service providers (such as airlines, hotels, and tour operators) that supply accommodations, transportation, and other travel services.
Third-Party Acts: While we carefully select our partners, Journeys Together is not responsible or liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, or delay resulting from acts or omissions of these third parties.
Force Majeure: Journeys Together cannot be held responsible for events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
Acts of nature (earthquakes, floods, or severe weather).
Political unrest, strikes, or government restrictions.
Pandemics, health emergencies, or border closures.
Trip Disruptions: If such events occur before departure and the trip cannot proceed, we will issue a full or partial refund, or a travel credit for a future trip, depending on recoverable funds from suppliers.
Post-Departure Changes: If disruptions occur after departure, we will make reasonable efforts to adjust arrangements; however, additional expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the traveler.
Documentation: Travelers are responsible for ensuring all required travel documents (passports, visas, and vaccinations) are valid for their specific destination.
✍️ 8. Acknowledgment
By submitting your deposit or any subsequent payment for a trip, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Booking Terms & Policies in their entirety. You acknowledge that these terms apply to any journey booked through Journeys Together.
